Our first view of the village was across parched rice fields .....

..... which were providing a 'battle ground' for some of the goats to joust with each other.

Only a few houses encircling this magnificent tree .....

 ..... with facilities to entertain tourists with drinks and snacks .. not just in this local chair ..
but in a cement block built bar / restaurant .. should they ever return in numbers.

The warmest welcome of all .. friends reunited !!
