Hong Hong's International Airport and the site of the old Kai Tak Airport runway, stretching out
into the harbour .. which provided a very scary landing on my first visit, some thirty five years previously.

Opened in 1998 .. four years before my visit .. it was a superb sight

The ultra-modern MTR Airport Express that links the Airport to the City

My flights to and from Hong Kong with China Airways were comfortable and uneventful. I was lucky .. two weeks later a similar China Airways Boeing 747 on  the same route crashed into the China Sea.
All 225 passengers and crew were lost.
